Linking to existing content

The following steps guide editors through adding content to the site that already exists in another area/section:
  1. Login to the Kentico CMS
  2. Expand the node where you want to add the content
  3. Right-click and select New... wait until 'Link to existing document' appear and select
  4. A pop-up window will appear, select the original document that you would like to refer to
  5. Click OK
The new document (and only the linked document) is created in the exact same way as the original document was created. Any content included on linked page is included on the newly created page. It is important to understand however, that sub-documents (usually images) are not also created and linked automatically and that the page will also behave the same as it's original purpose. For example, if the page includes a web part to display any images below that page in the content tree, then this functionality will also apply to the newly created page, and as the newly created page doesn't yet have any images below it in the content tree, none will be displayed.

To completely reproduce the functionality of the original page, repeat the above process for any/all pages below the source.
