The following article shows how to setup your e-mail account in Microsoft Outlook 2007 and should be similar for other versions:
- Launch Microsoft Outlook
- Click Tools > Account Settings... (labeled E-mail accounts... in some older versions)
- In the window that appears, click 'New...'
- The add new account wizard will appear, from this wizard, choose the option for POP or POP3 mail account
- Within Microsoft Outlook 2007, choose the checkbox to 'Manually configure server settings or additional server types', continue and select Internet Mail, users of previous versions of Microsoft Outlook do not need to carry out this step.
- Fill in your name and e-mail address with your details.
- Select POP3 as the account type
- Enter incoming mail server of: mail.mydigitalmedia.co.uk
- Enter outgoing mail server of: mail.mydigitalmedia.co.uk
- Enter logon information as follows:
Username: {your e-mail address}
Password: {your e-mail password}
- Click the button labeled 'More Settings...' and a new window will appear
- Choose the 'Outgoing Server' tab
- Check the box labeled 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication' and leave the selected option as 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server'
- Click 'OK' to return to the new account wizard
- Click 'Next' in the wizard, the finish screen will appear
- Click 'Finish' to close the wizard, your new account has now been configured and is ready to use
