This morning our systems reported that our server was unavailable from approximately 3.30am this morning (17th February). Engineers responded to this alert as soon as possible and full service has been restored by 8.30am. Any e-mails received during this time may be delayed, but should still arrive.
The cause of the outage is as of yet unknown, the symptoms reflect previous issues related to firmware updates carried out to the hardware firewalls at the datacentre, the result being that we lose network connectivity to our servers only, but not to the data centre completely.
A remote reboot, resolves the issues at this point.
Due to the rare occurrence of this problem, its occurrence out of hours and the speed to resolve, MyDigitalMedia will monitor this issue before taking any further action.
